Description
A digital oscilloscope is a complex electronic device composed of various software and electronic hardware modules that work together to capture, process, display and store data that represents the signals of interest of an operator. The input analogue signal is sampled and then converted into a digital record of the amplitude of the signal at each sample time. These digital values are then turned back into an analogue signal for display on a cathode ray tube (CRT).
