A rectangular piece of the object which is made up of iron, steel or any other ferromagnetic substance or ferromagnetic composite, having permanent magnetic properties. The magnet has two poles: a north and a south pole.The lines of magnetic field from a bar magnet form closed lines which means the field direction is taken to be outward from the North pole and in to the South pole of the magnet.
